A public record of institutional development
SMCLC maintains this page as a chronological public record rather than only as an announcement feed. Important structural changes, new public resources, and major stages of cultural and language work can remain visible and historically traceable over time.
Earlier milestones are retained when newer work is added so that the development of the Center can be understood as a continuing process.
Recent development
August 2026
A major structural phase connected SMCLC's cultural mission with language resources, public knowledge, and the wider MONGOL WORLD digital ecosystem.
- Digital Ecosystem — The Ecosystem section was expanded to define the relationship between SMCLC and nine MONGOL WORLD public projects. Language and knowledge, information, community, and communication services are now presented as connected digital infrastructure while SMCLC remains focused on culture, language, archives, education, and public knowledge.
- Language & Traditional Script — The Language section was rebuilt around Mongolian language continuity, Traditional Mongolian script, literacy, vocabulary, terminology, education, digital continuity, and connected language tools.
- Resources & Public Knowledge — The Resources section was reorganized as a practical public gateway to Language, Culture, Programs, Projects, documentation, and connected digital knowledge tools rather than an abstract description of future resources.
- Homepage Integration — The homepage was upgraded to present SMCLC more clearly as a cultural and knowledge center and to connect visitors directly with Language, Culture, Resources, Programs, Projects, digital language tools, and the complete ecosystem.
Foundation record
March 2026
The initial public cultural site was established with core sections for language, culture, resources, programs, projects, updates, and contact. Early work focused on defining the Center's public tone, cultural role, long-term direction, and basic site structure.
Those first sections created the foundation on which later language, resource, and digital ecosystem work could be built.
Current development phase
SMCLC now has a stable public structure for its principal areas: language, culture, resources, programs, projects, updates, and digital ecosystem relationships.
Development can therefore move increasingly from basic site structure toward deeper cultural content, language knowledge, documentation, educational resources, archival work, and long-term public reference material.
